WoW and Blizzard have been around a hell of a lot longer then Riot and League have.

That's pretty much the main reason. Give League as much time as WoW has had (maybe even a bit more with the rising popularity of eSports), and we would most likely see a movie set in the world of Runterra. Also depending on how successful the WoW movie is, more MMO type games with strong lore and story will be encouraged to try and make movies

What would this movie be about? a 20 min long film where fiora, darius and morde kills everything in sight, smashes the nexus and then get defended as "balanced" by rito employees?
