Calling it right now

The marksmen update will be a repeat of the Juggernaut reworks

  • First announced, people point out that some champions look anywhere from weak to flat out gutted (Almost R.I.P. Garen), but the reworks look pretty balanced and promising
  • Some things from the PBE leak to the boards regarding balance of the new champions, but nothing else really happens
  • About a month after it was announced, everyone gets bored and returns to Memes and Games to praise Laughing Fish or goes to General Discussion to stick needles in a Voodoo doll of Laughing Fish
  • Reworks come into the game
  • Boards are immediately erupt into a raging fury, saying that these champions are entirely broken and need an immediate nerf
  • Some guy by the name of "Graves's Cigar" makes entire essays about how Graves' core identity was ruined or something along those lines for the next foreseeable century
  • Planned hotfix nerf, never goes through
  • Champions nerfed slightly over next few patches
  • Raging continues for about a month or 2
  • People realize that these guys aren't really that powerful, and only maybe 1 or 2 are problematic
  • Wait until next champion reworks

If this doesn't happen, I will be surprised

You essentially just summed up the boards cycle that's been in place since I started playing in Season 3, there's always the cry cry wave, the buff wave, and another champ will take the place of the others in the Circle of QQ.
