Riot really has no problem with capitalizing on stereotypes to begin with. There's a lot of champions who are made into jokes, not just Taric. Gragas is ridiculed for being fat, Mundo for being "retarded", Urgot for being ugly, Amumu for being an emo (Riot even made a skin about this) and the list goes on. There are a bunch of factors about Taric's look that are increasingly feminine/gay. But his demeanor and voice itself are very masculine. Even in his gameplay Taric's mechanics are very masculine in that he charges head first into battle rather than being a scared girl hiding in the back lines in fact, he defends allies by being a bulwark for his team to hide behind. Is that stereotypically gay?
And if you're going to say that the pink skin, gem encrusted armor and permed hair are all indicators of being stereotypically gay please, take a look at Mick Jagger. Well maintained hair, eye glitter, skin tight leather outfits, a bare chest, sings in a higher octave than his regular voice and yet he has probably shagged over 100 women in his life time. Not gay but sure as hell looks the part, right? Taric does the same things Mick Jagger did only he is gay, but how is it stereotypical if one of the grandest womanizers in the last decade behaved that way? That's what I would like to know.

Taric is being tasteful. He is a strong, mild-mannered gay champion who functions in a manner befitting a hero. He is playing by the rules of being tasteful. If he weren't being portrayed in a tasteful manner he would be wearing ass-less chaps, a slave collar, have an ability where he humps his target and would moan after every kill he racks up. That would be tasteless.
But it hasn't gotten that far and everything about Taric portrays him in a role of superiority. Even in the fan fiction relationship with Ezreal it is believed that Taric is the one who "wears the pants" in the relationship. Taric is the one who goes into man mode and saves the day.

Witness how Taric is typically depicted by the community. He breaks his back to save Ezreal, doing all the hard work, beating out insurmountable odds and coming out on top. Only to pass on the praise to Ezreal. That's Taric in a nut shell for you there. When Ezreal is around he is all cuddly and cute and when Ezreal is in danger Taric is not one to be trifled with. The video also portray Taric in a comedic fasion, the joke of the video is that no one would expect Taric to be that raging warrior, that's it, it's a joke. You can't just ignore what he says and how he acts by just focusing on actions. If someone releases a badmouthing black hero wielding a 9mm and has sagging pants, but still saves people? It doesn't mean the hero isn't stupidly racist just because we focus on the idea he saved people.

You said you wouldn't ever pick Taric. Is it because you think he is bad? I am sure that after his rework Taric will certainly be an improvement over his former self and people will be lining up to play him more than they have in the past. Taric is pretty weak in the meta so moving him in any direction is probably a step towards improving his performance levels in game.
I was talking about him as he currently is. Taric's new identity probably will be similiar to how he already is. I don't think it will be nearly as drastic as the personality shifts of Poppy or Tristana but only time will tell.
This list of sayings are just what people in the community can say about him when he gets locked in. I never suggested these to be replacements to his current dialogue. If that is what you thought I was saying, I was not. This thread stemmed out of a game when one of my teammates locked in Tahm Kench and two other teammates went on a short bout with all of the "Unbench the Kench, Unload the toad" hype train stuff. So I wanted Taric to get his own hype train so I mimiced the literary style of the Tahm Kench sayings and applied them to Taric. These are not dialogue replacement suggestions I am making to Riot. If they were I would post them in a more appropriate thread or (god forbid) on Reddit.
The video and the fan fiction I don't think puts Taric in a bad light at all. He is gay, yes, but he is a devoted man who deeply cares about Ezreal and fights honorably and is a notable warrior on the battlefield. He isn't being depicted in a negative manner in my eyes.
But there isn't a bad-mouthing black hero with a 9mm who saves people all while wearing saggy pants. Not all black people dress or act that way. Likewise, not all gay people dress and act a certain way too. Taric dresses in armor made out of gemstones, furry boots and a perm. Outwardly, he is very gay. But he's really only gay in how he looks, not how he handles, speaks, behaves or otherwise. And the way he looks is part of what makes him so strong, he is very unassuming. Size him up, underestimate him and he will make you pay for it. I like that message behind how he functions in game. Taric is a gay champion who people ridicule and who Taric then proceeds to stomp out in game. Taric is a strong man who just happens to dress effeminately. There's nothing wrong with that.
It seemed pretty accurate to me. Pressing R gives Taric major stat boosts and on a support those stat boosts are very significant. There are inaccuracies and over exaggerations involved in that video but for the most part it depicts how he functions in game. At the press of a button Taric goes from being a passive bulwark to a savage warrior able to beat out the odds.
