As a veteran of that storyline snafu, I recall the atmosphere on the Bioware boards back in the day. Anyone else remember the drive to send the devs tricolored cupcakes? I wonder if Kitae has any particular insight.

Kitae isn't head of lore anymore. In fact, I think they've intentionally not told us who is because there is a part of the community that would sincerely consider lynching that Rioter...
I remember the cupcakes. But, the story in ME actually has something to do with the game itself and is inseparable from it; the lore in LoL can be anything at all or nonexistent and the game will be the same. It's practicaly fan fiction.
And now imagine bioware would have tried to seperate the story from the gameplay back then...
