How did you decide what role to main?

I see this board up pop up from time to time and it always is enjoyable for me to see what others say about why they chose their main role.

As for myself, I don't have a main role, I switch from top to mid to adc all the time because I get bored with one after 1-2 games. It's terrible I need to find myself a main soon or I might explode! In fact if you all could point me in the right direction on which I should main that would be great, and maybe some pointers on how you can play the same role so many times in a row without dying of boredom.

SO without further ado... How did you decide what role to main? Why that role?

You main what you're best at. So just keep playing everything till you find what you're good with. Pretty much how it was for me. Played everything till I started playing the jungle with udyr in specifics season 3 and just fell in love with playing him and jungle. Ravaged everything in site and hit D5 from B2 with madstone. Recently before getting banned yet again for the past seasons, I hit G3 then got banned again so rip. Either way just keep playing till you find something.

In draft pick I always ended up playing support because I wasn't pushy enough to get my favorite (mid) and it grew on me. I started season 3 out as silver 5 and when I switched to playing support I climbed to platinum. I've stuck with it ever since because I've realized I'm good at it (and it's fun). When I'm not playing ranked I don't usually support though.

I've always enjoyed being the healer in multiplayer games, so I instantly was drawn to support. I started with the healer supports and branched out from there. I enjoy playing the other roles, but my main is and may likely always be support. I just enjoy caring for my team and protecting them.
