Buying mastery

Was reading patch notes about having to earn S- to S+ ranks to get mastery. I was like oh finally, now people actually have a reason to be concerned when they see their opponent is Mastery level 7.

VERY NEXT LINE IS OH YOU CAN ALSO BUY MASTERY SHARDS FROM THE CHESTS TO RANK UP. I fucking facepalmed.
