I remember, a couple of years ago, the forums were all angry because the entire front page of the client was taken up by an ad for whatever big tournament was going on at the time. Riot's been adding in X marks to close those ads, recently; why can't you do the same thing with the facebook friend feature?

If you're referring to what I think you're referring, that was a different type of ad that overlayed the entire client and not one of these smaller square content highlights.

My friends and I already used it a while back. Would it be possible if, when this sort of thing is done in the future, that it would disappear when I click on the page? That be very much appreciated :)

It's still blocking one of the more important parts of the screen, though. Like, yes, you want to advertise your new feature, but I read red posts religiously. I know that I could add my non-existent facebook account and add my non-existent facebook friends. You don't need to raise my awarenessof this anymore.

first you move it down to the obscure bottom left of the screen (where it's always obscured by my friends list cuz I hate not having any negative space to rest my mouse) and now you remove it all together? booooooooooooooo

Then move it to another slot. All of the others already have placeholders on your website. Replace those with the add friend feature, not something that actually gives functionality only in the client. That's just bm.
