Number of champions released a year

I noticed the numbers keeps getting even lower each year...

2012 : 19 (last year before the slowdown)

2013 : 8

2014 : 6

2015 : 4 with Kindred, should be at least 5 if it goes on.

Will we even reach 6 this year ? I know they said 3 years ago they would slow the champion release process but it's getting even more slow when it's ALREADY slow.

Can we expect same number as last year ? Will it be even lower next year ? :/ I know canceled champs can lower the number alot (Ao shin was expected for a 2014 release... now it's 2016 at the very least) and reworks are supposed to be considered like a champion release... I don't agree reworks should be considered like a champ :/ AND yes, if you count all the reworks/REAL VU (not jut textures) it goes around 14-16 champs each year :/

Anyone feels it goes too slow ? Should we really consider Rework/VU like a new champ release ? Should they hear us and fasten the champ's release pace a little (to reach 2013 number at least ?) ? Keep it the same since reworks are coming in swiftly ?

Do you really want to get to the point where there are 1000 different champions? Remembering what that many champs do would be difficult. Compare it to pokemon. Pokemon was only good when there were 150 of them. Now, I don't even know how many there are.

i dont feel like its too slow. We have over 120 champions, we already have balancing problems and only adding more champions will cause more harm. I think a slowdown like this is great because they put much more detail in the upcoming champions because they are so far and few. I rather them keep up with this trend than having 10-20 champion released in a year and have them all broken or under played.
