DJ Sona Speculation: Information For Those Hyped

Everyone's all in a hype (me included) over the new DJ Sona skin. When she came out, questions flooded the boards, and most of them haven't been answered. Me being a Sona main and extremely hyped for this skin, I've dived into every bit of information given, and here's what I've kinda gathered.

Disclaimer: Do note, this is speculation based on what I've read, and isn't guaranteed. Just gives some peace of mind and something to think about for everyone else who is hyped. Most of these are based off red posts and info on Surrender@20's site.

If you wanna know anything else, feel free to ask and I can see if I find more info on the topic. ^^

Everything confirmed will be in bold. Everything fully speculation will be in italic. Everything that's kinda confirmed and kinda speculation will be in plain text.

Release Date:

  • She will not be released in patch 5.3
  • She needs extended time in PBE for testing, however that doesn't mean for months.
  • She may be released in 5.4, considering patches run in almost 2-week cycles lately, and 5.3 is coming around Valentines Day.
  • Release in 5.4 means she'd be out around the end of February.

Sounds:

  • They aren't changing her voice from what's been released, as it's supposed to blend with the music.
  • Her songs change as the game goes on, much like the newest Rift music does.
  • Her music replaces the music of the mode you're playing.
  • Each song changes as she changes forms, and is progressed to where the other songs would be in her other forms; they don't start over after you change.

Pricing:

  • 30% sale upon release
  • 1-7 day sale
  • Cost placed slightly higher than price of Pulsefire Ezreal and Spirit Guard Udyr at their release, then bumped to ultimate skin price.
  • She will have some sort of sale upon release, price unconfirmed.

My honest speculation: I believe DJ Sona will be released sometime in 5.4, similar to how she is now with just the audio fixes they need to work on. I don't honestly believe they would have released her Promo page and gotten splash arts for her if she was not almost done. Any other skin takes about 2 weeks in PBE. DJ Sona will take at most 4, and she's already been there for nearly a week. Upon release, she'll most likely be at least 30%, putting her cost roughly $15 instead of the usual $25.

Edits: Added today's (2/6) S@20 post confirming she will have a sale. Fixed patch numbers. Added voice link.

I played her on PBE yesterday :D

her RP price will be at 3250, if i remember right. For the Ultimate Skins there has always been a 4 day intro price. Ez was 50% reduced, Udyr was 40% reduced, i think. i cant wait to get her!

Im sure as long as testing goes smoothly she should be release at 5.4. i just hope people are actually testing her out on the PBE rather than playing her just because, but thats how the PBE usually is with new content. i know ill try to help as much as i can! as for the pricing, has it been confirm she will get a bigger discount than the last two? if i remember PFE was 50% on sale, so if its bigger than that maybe 55-60%? im not sure thats fair in the case of how much work and detailed that skin is going to be, but i guess they want a lot of people buying it!

They aren't changing her voice, as it's supposed to blend with the music.

are they gonna give her new quotes and sthings to say and interation for example: she is a support she could have an interation while placing wards. or idk it's still in pbe i hope for more interactons and maybe an awesome DJ synthesized voice for each form.

Someone on twitter said RiotHippalus confirmed she will be 2800 RP at release... though I can't find an actual tweet or post of any kind from RiotHippalus about that.
