Is there a way to block people from seeing your messages?

Does mute even block them from seeing YOUR messages? Often i play with friends, and we're really toxic towards each other (jokingly) and the other teammate(s) think we're actually serious and then they say in all chat "report my team, toxic" even though we dont even talk to him/her. I tell them we're premade, and we're just joking but they dont seem to understand. So is there an option to block them from seeing your messages?
