Something you should keep in mind: taunting and other forms of getting in an opponents head to force mistakes are not the same as insulting them and their skill after a game. One is allowed and is a part of every online game, the other is bad sportsmanship and earned you those reports.

Realize that I don't taunt or like taunting in any regard, even in this case, but I try not to let my personal preferences realize that if this game truly was almost lost like OP says it was, then anyone posting "ez" without further context of their attitude for the rest of the game, and regardless of the team it came from, is meant to be absurd and comedic. There's a difference between unsportsmanlike and silly.

No comment can remain without context for long. If you do not add context yourself, the reader will add their own. If it actually was a stomp they still could find it absurd or comedic, but they could just as easily find it obvious and insulting.

If your goal is to sound silly you have to add proper context, otherwise you risk being misunderstood.

Assuming the OP's game was as he said, the context is clear: "You clearly were about to destroy us, by a stroke of luck or unfortunate mistake we BARELY turned the tables and pulled a victory out of our ass."

Following that with the implication that the match was "easy" is the complete, obvious opposite of what actually happened, making it absurd, and absurdity is generally comedy.

It's still assumed context. You're assuming it was meant as a comedic gesture, where as nothing the OP said in the game supported it. He left it open, and apparently the enemy team assumed something else.

Some people have no common sense, others can't read into something from another person's perspective, and others are just salty and mad. If the writer does not add context that cannot be taken in an incorrect manner the writer should not be surprised if it's taken the wrong way.

I'm not saying you shouldn't, I'm only saying you shouldn't act surprised if people are unhappy with you saying it.
