When forced into support, what is your favorite support thats not meta?
and what makes it so great for you?
and what makes it so great for you?
I don't know how to answer this question.
Support
. You only take minions when your Q is off cooldown.
I'm sure its not that original but in a plat level game on more than one occasion ive gone support ashe with surprisingly good results. The key is my rune and mastery set up, and having kalista as your adc. Between sentinel and your e you gain very good control over dragon and in your lane. I don't run flash either so having the kalista ult and baiting people makes it pretty cool. I don't recommend it if you can't confidently dodge skillshots lol.
Malphite. Every time he's open. Love Malphite support, play him as supp even when not forced to. Won't buy any "meta" supports. Malphite: harass while taking no damage (shield is big enough to get in to harass and get out without losing hp) Malphite: you don't really need hp pots that much, unless ur in an action lane Malphite: god allins- no ADC can survive R+ignite+E+Q combo and 2-3 aa's from my ADC (usually die right after they land, so they can't even flash) Malphite: decent disengage from ganks (stealing movement speed with Q) Malphite: insane teamfighting capability Malphite: Q is very good against champs like Nasus, letting my ADC kite even if they're not that good at it Malphite: rock solid
Not sure what you mean. I'm a support main.
"Forced into support," like I don't already want to play it. Haha.
My favorite non-meta supports are probably Orianna, Nunu, and Taric.
Orianna shield provides additional defensive statistics on your carry as long as you keep your ball on them. In addition, a Q-R-W combo is a great setup for a jungle tank. Orianna is one of the few supports I rush full CDR and Ardent Censer on because it's strong with her shield.
I like playing Nunu with attack speed based champions (Kalista or Vayne typically) because his Blood Boil attack speed and movement speed buff can be really strong on heavy auto attack champions. Nunu ultimate does crazy damage (for a full duration - and requires a good setup) at all points in the game, and building a Liandry's Torment and Snowballing people can be fun for chunking large amounts of health.
I consider Taric non-meta because of his lack of play, but he's really strong against heavy-AD team compositions. The reason I say that is because if he builds full armor, he gets crazy aura benefits on his W passive.
Gangplank would have been on here pre-rework because I enjoyed his Raise Morale as a way of providing a consistent AD and movement speed buff to allies, but he's gone now.
. If you build
in that order. Start with
as your gold item. Zone them out all game and prevent the enemy adc from farming.
