Having Issue's with changing key bindings. Help Needed

Guide to Easy Kiting (Left Click Attack) * /r/leagueoflegends

I've been using this set up for a long time, accidentally restored everything to default.

Every time I follow the steps in the post, nothing changes. It is like League is no longer using the input file, and I have no idea how to fix the issue.

I've tried just about everything short of reinstalling, but I know that won't work because I couldn't get the input file to work when a friend asked me for the same set up. I can't play without this set up.

It's probably because Riot has updated a lot about their game including the menu, hud, etc. Your best bet is to just go into a custom game and make the changes individually in the menu. You can open that with esc and then keybindings.

Won't let me bind attack move to mouse button 1 through the menu.

O.o that's pretty strange

Looking closer at the actual file compared to the input.ini file the format looks like it should still work. Or at the very least the Game Events section will. Maybe try replacing the values that are already defined in the file with the ones given on the reddit board. i.e.

evtPlayerAttackMove=[a],[x] to evtPlayerAttackMoveClick=[Button 1]

League is still using it because the settings I see in mine match what I've set up in game...

Could you perhaps post a full copy of what is in your folder?

when I change settings in game they no longer show up in my folder, and any changes I make to the folder have no effect in game.

I even tried deleting it, which results in league making a new one, but as soon as i make any changes, league no longer uses it.

Ah I think I've found it. There should be a "Persisted Settings.json" file in the same folder. I don't know what your knowledge about json files is but basically it's a way of storing key : value pairs. If you open that in a plain text editor and look towards the bottom there's a "name" "input.ini". League is using this file to create the ini file whenever it runs. The values should be the same so try changing it there and see if those stay.
