Championship Rivens Re-Release

So about 3 - 4 days ago i created a petition to re-release championship riven and make her a legacy skin. this has created lots of controversy, but i hope that it becomes a legacy.

This is the petition;

Currently it has 2000+ people who want it to become re-released as a legacy skin. Hopefully a riot member can enlighten me if this petition is just completely pointless or not.

I realise that lots of people who already have championship riven don't want her to be re-released seeing as it is a limited skin, but i feel that its such a great skin that everyone should be able to enjoy it.

Honestly, as a person who owns and loves his Pumpkinhead Fidds and King Rammus, I see no point in keeping other people from having them. They're cool skins with their own aesthetic that if people like the change to the champ they should get. All this "account seniority" bullcrap is just people wanting to lord it over others who don't have what they do, and that's always struck me as juvenile even when I'm one of those who do have the thing. It just creates situations in which people get stupid and desperate and huge amounts of money are lost to scammers and other shitty people. People paid hundreds of dollars for a champ riven skin, and yes that's their fault but honestly it shouldn't happen and there should just be a period of time every year when you can get them.

Halloween costume skins go on sale at Halloween. Christmas at Christmas. Attend pax for the pax skins. World championships, get your championship skins.

Let the victorious skins be the achievement/seniority skins.

Attending PAX is not an option especially for those of us in Canada. We never had a chance to get those skins and it seems we never will.

I mean, yes. They are event skins. They basically just say "I went to PAX!"

Would you buy a PAX commemorative mug on eBay having never attended? If so, why?

That's the dumbest comparison I've ever heard. They're skins, cosmetic changes, which a lot of people like but can't get because of them only being handed out at PAX. The Sivir one doesn't even have anything on it indicating it's associated with PAX.

Subtle enough that it isn't even noticed. It just looks like whatever on her boomerang. It just looks like triangles at the tips, a generic controller appearance.

Dude. The boomerang, the cross with triangles at the tip and the circle at the center, is the PAX logo. It is in fact so much the PAX logo that PAX has a copyright on that and all other PAX skins so that Riot can't re-sell them, which is why in recent years Riot has switched to giving out "Riot" and "Arcade" skins at the PAX events.

They legally can't resell pax skins.

Personally I feel neither championship skin should have returned. Those skins were specific to one time period, and there's already very little left to show account seniority and dedication. Unfortunately, Riot already changed their minds about legacy skins, and now they come back periodically. I sincerely hope they aren't persuaded to change this as well. It was advertised as limited and should remain so.

I would love to have King Rammus (Bowser,) but I'm not going to throw a fit and start a petition if I don't get my way; that skin is special to the people that got it, and deserves to remain so.

i thought the same thing about the championship skins, but then after championship thresh was re-released (i realise that it was listed as a legacy) i figured what makes championship riven so special that she cant be re-released aswell?

Championship Thresh's release bother me as well, but I strongly feel that if he hadn't been relaunched, none of this would even be an issue.

To me, that means Championship Thresh should be removed, not Championship Riven added.

I think it's completely unfair to make any skin not available for everyone. I didn't even know the game existed for a long time, I started in the beginning of S3. Does that mean I don't "deserve" certain skins? Or if I'm on vacation with my family during a Holiday event, I can't get the coolest skin for my favorite champion?
