Can we actually try to help new players?
I've seen lots of reports from new players, and having made other accounts myself just because I like doing stuff like that, I've experienced this, too: A lot of people in low level queues are EXTREMELY toxic. Like, crazy levels of toxicity that I don't see in my Bronze queues. Some smurfs are SO god damn mean to new players. My question is why? Why would you call them stupid for not knowing something if they're brand new to the game? Clearly if someone is playing for the first time they don't know how to orb walk perfectly or CS perfectly or pull off a perfectly orchestrated 5-man insec on Lee Sin. Hell, someone who's new to the game doesn't even know how to ward hop, or even ward. So why get mad at them for not being able to pull of high level play mechanics when they can barely do the basics of the game? I don't mean that as an insult saying that they're bad at the game, the simple fact is: They're terrible at the game. They just started playing, of course they don't know what they're doing. Why not help them instead? Why be mean to them and make them not want to play the game anymore? It doesn't make logical sense to call someone bad at the game because they didn't learn crazy LC$ Mechanics before they're level 10 and even have all of the summoner spells. I don't get it. I really don'tt.
Now, I'm not the nicest human being alive, but I have decency. Anyone that knows me in person (none of you most likely) knows that I'm very cocky and very confident, but also able to show humility in the face of defeat. If I messed up, I messed up. I've been taught since I was really young that being nice and kind to people is simply the correct thing to do. Being mean to people isn't right, but I still do it anyways, mostly as a joke. I usually don't mean what I say when I'm being toxic to someone, but I do have anger issues and sometimes I do get very fed up with people and go off on them. Even through all that I'm not as bad as some other people I see on here though.
Why hurt someone else? The best way to improve your own life is to improve the lives of others.
Can we try just a little to help new players? I almost feel like creating a tutor system in the game where high level players can sign up to be tutors for low level players to learn from would be a decent idea. Being completely opt-in for both sides I think it might be an ok idea, but I don't know. Maybe we could all just be nicer to new players and help them instead of hurting them? That might work too, but I highly doubt anyone will really listen to this.
