The general toxic enviroment of LoL

So playing this game for a couple months now, most players are incredibly toxic and rude. Even when your team is doing well, people continually insult each other. Not to mention when people are learning a new champ and having a hard time, it's just non-stop cussing and personal insults. I'm aware that you can report players, but for the most part nothing is done about it. I love this game, it's fun and well designed, but most people just ruin the experience for everyone. Not to mention when you say you are going to report people. they just report you back spreading lies to mitigate the system. An example I have, i solo queued and there were 3 friends queued together. they called me every derogatory name in the book, then when I tried to reason with them they continually berated me. So i said i was going to report them. But then all 3 of them made up lies saying i was being racist when i did no such thing. How can a single player place a legitimate report when you are outnumbered? Again I enjoy this game but it is a game. Why do people feel the need to make others feel like crap and try to get them banned when they did nothing wrong. My last thought it is there needs to be a better system for punishing/banning toxic players. Thank you Riot for trying your hardest to make this the best game possible.
