Typical champion pool
So I was just wondering what is the typical ranked champion pool is for each elo because im at gold 1 and rising, and I have a pool of about 20 champions I am proficient with. Im guessing this a good amount even for higher elo?

Well, considering that there are "pros" that are only good with two or three champions... :P
I main jg and play udyr lee sin and urgot(i can urgot jg surprisingly easy) and some nidalee then some other champions i can't think of at the top of my head.
I think it would depend on who you're maining.
If you're maining J4, Vi, Lee Sin, Zed, Kalista, Jinx, Gnar, etc, then I think you need a larger pool since the chance that your pool gets picked/banned atm is quite high.
If you main Urgot and Zac, then that's probably all you need (assuming you can play them in multiple roles). The chace of them getting picked/banned is quite low.
As long as you get someone who you can play on a consistent basis, then that's enough.
I play all roles, the only one I'm not very skilled in is ADC. Mid and top are practically the same, Support is just spoonfeeding your whiny child, while Jungle is spoonfeeding all of the orphans.
Going through the champions I own and play proficiently, I hit 13 by the time I reached Nautilus
.
I've got at least three champions per role, and at least 10 that I can run in multiple roles.
If you don't have a diverse champion pool, in a balanced match you're at a disadvantage. However, until
are deleted from the game, a diverse pool won't do you as much good as learning these champs.
i main support, can pretty much play anyone
i don't play raka or zil though. not including tops mids adcs and jungles
