Story-line games?

I got thinking, and I don't know if it exists now, but if not, why not make a series of games that influence the story line? Basically, two teams would play a game, both taking a side of an issue in the story. For example, the Ionia vs Noxus matches over the southern provinces. Anyway, these two teams would play, in this case one for Ionia and one for Noxus. The winner of the game (or series of games) would have their victory recorded in the lore to advance it. So, say Noxus had won the second round instead of Ionia, Noxus would still control some of Ionia, rather than Ionia being entirely free.

TLDR; Make some games that affect the lore

PS Could put them up on LOLESports.

I don't know if you already knew this, but they actually did do a match for Ionia vs. Noxus, and had high level players compete to advance the lore. Guardsman Bob apparently wrecked as Udyr ^.^

But this was years ago, and now with more resources and better eSports in general, I would LOVE to see more matches like this! I wasn't even playing yet at the time of Ionia vs. Noxus. C'mon roit, give us more lore face-offs :D

Yeah as I recall that match was one of the reasons Riot got rid of Locket, from what I've heard. It was a good game, the link is online somewhere.

I'm sure that's something they are going to do eventually, from what I understand they are trying to do a solid basework for Lore so that they have context for the matches more than what they just make up on the spot for the match.

This would be a good idea for the "crazy conditions!" feature thing theyre coming out with. Restrict each side to noxian/demacian champions (or avarosan or whatever) and let the community duke it out for a month.
