Player Support Feedback
Clarification: I am not the OP of this Reddit link
Hi,
I can see in this reddit thread that Riot already sufficiently responded to the problem at hand, but I would like to point out a different issue. In the Original Post, there's an imgur album the player posts containing his interaction with a Player Support member and the player/summoner seems confused since he/she didn't think they sounded hostile in the initial support ticket.
So, my point is that I really hope that this isn't a common occurrence (with tone). It's been like a year and a half since I last had meaningful contact with Riot Player Support and all a company really has to do is respond in order to be better than most of the competition (save for Amazon's chat support), but I can attest to the fact that most of my communications seemed to have a negative tone (on Riot's end, in my opinion).
Though most of the responses were sufficient at the time ( I don't remember too much ), I do remember feeling I was being spoken down to in some manner. I got a lot of that (and hence the memory trigger and this post) from this reddit thread. The response from player support seemed to just assume the only goal was to report out of anger and the player was likely in the wrong. I understand people can get frustrated and what the Support Specialist was saying in response, but I feel like it was a bit much to just 100% assume the situation. I kind of remember that being the case a couple years (almost) ago as well. No matter what I tried to say to the support team they made it sound like it was my fault (even once when I was just seeking technical help).
Again, it's been a while and I don't know if this is necessarily a common thing, but I was a bit concerned since this reddit post is pretty recent. Just thought someone should know.
Tl;DR My feedback: more empathy can go a long way for players contacting Player Support
Thanks!
*Note: I didn't really know where to post this and the Player Support page itself had Blitz (or whoever that was, it definitely wasn't Blitz, now that I think of it) grab my support ticket and tell me to post something on the Boards. A bit disappointing since there's no guarantee someone will see it now.
