I don't get why we can't just keep solo/duo q as the main ranked, and keep ranked 5s and dynamic queue. It is litterally the best possible solution, unless there is something litterally stopping you guys from doing it.
Hypothetically (I know nothing) if player numbers are falling, Riot needs to consolidate queues to ensure that there are enough people in each queue not to have infinite wait times or player discrepancies that are too big. That might be one possible explanation for why they're trying to merge and phase out queues.
No, duos belong in dynamic queue.
