I'm trying to be more social. I'm not sure how to carry a conversation past "Hi". What are some good things to say when talking to strangers instead of standing there awkwardly or walking away? :I

First, you have to analyze the stranger. Much of the time, the person is not talkative and does not wish to converse with anyone, even someone as amazing as you. However, if some key facial features, such as raised eyes, show that the person is available to speak, just look for interests through physical cues and accessories. Sometimes, it's not always this easy. Instead, usually try to go for something interesting yet extremely general (meaning that it could apply to anyone); but, never try to use this for picking up girls as it will be clearly evident that you suffer a contemporary condition known as "thirst".
