Add an Abusive Ping option to the Report Options

Im tired of hearing pings everywhere. Yes, there is a mute. But it doesnt stop it from coming in the chat and it lighting up my minimap.

Yes, I know pings are helpful, and yes i do know there is a limit. But the last game i played, 3/5 teammates were pinging nonstop. They were spending more time pinging on enemies rather than playing the actual game.

Why are people allowed to ping on the same thing 5 times? Why are they allowed to use those blue pings all the time (other than to point things out, other than that theyre just an annoyance)?

Is anyone with me? Because all I heard the entire match was PINGPINGPINGPINGPINGPINGPING PING PING PINGPINGPINGPGINGIPGNPGGNPIGNPGNGPNGDOJFHWDIPSHFHDJ:LCNBPISDHCHOJSN

I can't upvote this enough.

I'd like it where if you muted someone, you only received one ping from them. I've had people that flipped out when I politely asked them to only ping once, and they start pinging my dead body. 'lol how u like that lol u cant stop me from pinging' /careful pings on my corpse x 20

What constitutes as abusive? I have had times where people would complain i didnt "mia" despite the fact i did ping enemy missing, and according to them i didnt ping enough times. To some people who ping 3-4 times are abusing it, where as someone who just spams it. everyone has different opinion on the matter. But ill admit it can be irritating.

It's as diverse as 'verbal abuse' I guess. Back when the Tribunal was active, you'd see really innocent trials come through where the player was only trying to guide his team, and getting frustrated when they wouldn't listen. Reported for verbal abuse. And you obviously get some cases where they use every cuss in the book, and a couple death threats as well. Reported for abuse. The first one was always pardoned, the second punished. Maybe if this system came back, there could be a count in the stats showing how many pings of each type were issued by the player, as well as an official 'average pings per game by the average player' statistic.

It's not really necessary as an option; it's covered already. Tell them to stop spamming ping and write up a report mentioning it if it continues.

That goes against itself. Where is it already covered? If its not an option, where is it?

You can tell them to stop pinging but they will most likely ping more, like they did in this game. Some people just want to make your world a crazy place.

You cant write up a report either because: A. The tribunal is gone. B. There is no abusive ping report option. C. If you mute all game sounds, Then youre the one not paying attention to their pings and dying because of it.

If you mute ping sounds, it mutes a vital aspect of the game. That sound "PING" Tells you something is up and says "Hey, look around, something is coming." If you dont hear it, the odds of you seeing it and noticing where it is on the map goes down susbtantially.

What?? That doesn't make any sense. "It" means "a separate abusive ping category" because that is the topic of discussion.

"It, a separate abusive ping category, is not really necessary as an option; it, abusive ping, is covered already." Understand?

If someone is abusing the ping, they are doing any number of things to be reported in the categories there are, especially the harassment ones, and if you still can't think of anything it will always fit under the catch-all "Negative Attitude", because that is what it is there for.
