Recently Nvidia released a fallout 4 mod, called Vault 1080, in honor of their GPU the 1080.
But Riot games cant make some of the champions armors for Skyrim? Wouldn't it be awesome when next month the remastered version comes out and Riot to release few months with, Katarina, LeBlanc, Darius, Riven and other such champions mods? I mean, if they upload them in the nexus there's a "Donate" function aswell, I'm sure they can make few bucks from LoL fans from it :p

The designer, who made for example Kat's armor original, downloads photoshop and nifscop on his perosnal PC, makes the armor mod in 1-2 weeks in his free time. Uploads in Nexus. Enables donations for his personal self. Riot posts as an accnoument.
Riot games gain = love of the fans Designer wins for his spare time = donations for a 2nd salary that month, because osme people actually do donate for such stuff.
There is profit out of it... You just dont see it the way you should... You dont see the idea as a whole company to build it, but as 1 person working there.
Company gains loyalty Person gains money

And skyrim isnt an optinally-online game, but probly currently the biggest singleplayer game ,which is getting remastered next month and will make a big boom again... The idea isnt the whole company to do it, it's literally a job for a single game designer. And nobody forces anyone to donate, I ment that as the designer himself can do it in his free time and the company can just shout it at the main page, he can get donations for his work itself and only him. Yeah I gave skyrim as an example because it's more modable than fallout 4, but having Cait or Lucian guns for example in fallout 4 would be some super awesome aswell...

Of course it has costs. Riot has to pay people to do things. Their employees don't just work for free. And more importantly it costs time and resources that could be used on actual projects. In business, NOTHING is free.

Riot is For-Profit, otherwise they wouldn't do RP. Just because their game is able to be played for free doesn't make them free, they use microtransations for a reason.

Plus as I said, most ppl there are dedicated steam users, which means they love gifting cash, which means if that one designer opens the donate function at his project he can most likely get a second salary for the first month :p
