Lets talk about Kat and Tristana's new Splashes for a moment....

Anyone else think Riot is trying to take a really cartoonique direction with the game? Don't get me wrong, I kind of understand the logic and reason for attempt with the Tristana art, but when I look at Katarina it just doesn't make sense at all. Tristana is a yordle, so the direction makes sense with that being said, but then you compare her to other yordles and it doesn't make sense at all. I'm not trying to diss the person who made the Tristana art, but I mean, how did this even go through approval? I'm definitely not the only who thinks this. Make it more cartoon-based than other champs, but still keep it serious to an extent to a point. Both Gnar and Rumble are great examples. They were done fantastic. They look cartoon based, but there's still realism imo.

Lets move on to Katarina now... This is where I really pick it apart. She's an assassin with one of the most impactful lores in the game and recognizable characters in the game and her splash looks more like a cartoon than it really should. Before, she pretty much looked like an assassin just by looking at her. Now, at a first glance you get that impression but it's questionable. There's way too much going on in her splash, it's way too colorful for an assassin with the personality that she has as a champion and again, looks nothing like the realism that I love League of Legends for.

I know everyone has there opinions, but everyone else I've talked to pretty much feels the same way I do. I really don't know how these got approved unless I just happen to coincidentally talked to people who share the same point of views as me. Anyway, I'd like to hear everyone elses opinions as well.
