Anybody else wish there was a way to ban specific people from commenting on your posts/comments?

Easy way to do this: run your own forums elsewhere.
There's really no strong argument for preventing specific people from responding to you. If they're harassing you, report their comments and they may have their posting privileges completely revoked. If they're not harassing you, then it's free game. Forums are made for discussions, not one-sided posts with nothing but agreement.
