Faith in the community.... redeemed!

So I've had a lot of crap games lately. It's summer... the kids are out in force. Toxic behavior abounds and I'll admit I have a temper and make the mistake of arguing with these awful people. It was so bad lately that I decided to just /mute all at the start of my next match, just to play in peace. I don't want another chat ban because I respond to toxic kids or try to shot call and get raged at by the team's trolliest member.

Then games like this one happen. I muted everyone and went top lane. I was handily wrecking my lane opponent but our mid wasn't doing well and bot was going 1 for 1. I didn't speak, just pinged for objectives and tried to help the team and play to the best of my ability. Things got intense... we were going back and forth. Our team was strong but tended to get AD and get baited... or just pick odd fights, so against my better judgement I started to try and guide them. "Pls help me top", "Drag in 20", "No. Baron too risky now", "Don't chase, just get towers". Basic, basic stuff, but stuff they hadn't been doing. They did. We pulled together and won with some amazing teamfights and good rotation and objective control. I was just glad to finally get a win for the night, then the post game chat came up.

It's so rare to get praise or even a positive word from most people on here. I didn't do anything special, but it was nice to hear two of my teammates say a simple thing like what they did. They were both very good team players themselves and I'm glad we were able to win together. Even our mid came back in a BIG way after being down 0/4 in lane to Syndra. Considering how often toxic people and rage are thrown on the boards, I just figured I'd share something less so. I'd also love to hear anyone else's stories like this. Share your stories about that guy who helped rally the team... or the adc who actually valued his support. The jungler that got put behind and his team pulled together to help him rather than just blame him for the game going south. Share your stories about good people and good games all! There aren't enough of them out here!

Wow... not a single story? I figured there's be SOMETHING.
