Short Appreciation Letter to Everyone. (+Apologies.)
I'm feeling in a good mood today and I wanted to share it with everyone in a "thank you" post.
Top mains, Thank you for playing one of the most BORING and binary roles in the game. Where others would fall asleep playing it, you find a way to make it seem like the most exciting thing since xPeke's backdoor. You TP in to save Dragons, gank bot with the jungler, push towers like a madman, take Rift Herald, tank thousands of damage per fight, deal absurd in retaliation, and STILL find a way to stay relevant in farm and items. Thank you for being awesome.
Jungle mains, Thank you for playing one of the most rotation-intensive roles in the game. Your attention is required on literally every part of the map, and you're forced to choose who to gank. Your ganks will win games outright. You play whatever the team needs; anything from Mage to Tank to Bruiser to Assassin. If there's an objective, then you've got control of it. If the enemy jungler ganks, you're there to stop him dead in his tracks. Even if you're flamed and screamed at, you manage to hold your tongue and do what wins the game. Thank you for being awesome.
Mid mains, Thank you for playing one of the most mechanically-demanding roles in the game. Most of the champions you play have a very high skill ceiling you continue to reach for. Even if you don't hit that Challenger ceiling, you're still a damn impressive player. Your mechanics HAVE to be on-point to play your role. You have to gank almost as much as the jungler, while staying ahead in farm, levels, kills, and pretty much everything. Your lane is at the center of both objectives, as well as the action. You're ganked the most, but you manage to make your lane work. Thank you for being awesome.
ADC mains, Thank you for the many, MANY times you have carried me to victory. You make botlane a pleasure when laning with you. Even if we don't always get along, it's vital for us to protect you because I know just how valuable you are to the team. We may not always meet eye-to-eye, but we still cooperate and make it work. I've made fun of you plenty, but I do it in jest; I hold plenty of respect for you for being far superior to my capabilities. Thank you for being awesome.
Support mains, Thank you for your service. Your role has been in turmoil for ages, but you've stuck with it, through thick and thin, rain and shine, ups and downs. You put in maximum effort into getting your team fed, yourself be damned. Even in the current meta with greedy mage kill-lanes bot, you find a way to put yourself aside for your team's sake. You may not have the most fun you can, but you're willing to do it for your team's good. Thank you for being awesome.
Memes & Games, You guys always bring a smile on my face. Your memes are clever, your puns as hilariously terrible as possible (in a good way), and your gifs perfectly used. Your presence on the Boards keeps me coming back. Thank you for being awesome.
League Community, It's incredible to see how it's grown. It only feels like yesterday that I started, but it's been years. We've had our ups and downs, our goods and our bads. We've laughed, we've cried, we've yelled, we've exploded. We've stuck through it all and grown into one of the most popular games the world around, with a staggering unmatched community. Everybody involved, from streamers to YouTubers down to the simple ordinary player... Thank you for being awesome.
And now for my apologies. I apologize to everyone I've flamed; past, present, and future. It was never right of me to snap, no matter how justified it feels. Yelling at you was me venting anger and frustration. I should never snap; it's not right to yell, even if you do too.
I apologize to everyone I've griefed; past, present, and future. It's childish of me to react in such a way. No matter the state of the match, I should never resort to running down mid, AFKing, or trolling others. All I do is ruin everyone else's experience and make that match an even more miserable experience. There's no justification for it and I should never have stooped to that point. But I have, far too many times that I care to admit.
I apologize to everyone I've failed; past, present, and future. It's my ineptitude that caused me to be unable to live up to your expectations. I'm not MadLife, I'm just a Silver. I'm not Faker, I'm just a scrub. I'm not WildTurtle, I'm just a regular player. I want to be as good as them, but it's my fault that I can't. I will fail you on some level, whether it be something as small as accidentally stealing your minions or as big as throwing the game. It is nobody's fault except mine.
