Lets Talk about Kha'Zix
So I want to talk about my beloved Kha'Zix. In this post I only want to focus on lane K6 especially in midlane: I played about 20 Games mid with him on patch 6.3 + additional 12 games mid with him on PBE. This is what my conclusion is: At patch 6.3 he is definitely playable in the midlane, but he gets outsclassed by many other (AD) Assassins. Summoners/masteries/runes I used: Runes: Armorpen reds. Armor Yellows. MR blues. flat AD Quints. Masteries: 12;18;0 with Stormraiders surge. Summoners Flash+Ignite Starting items: Corrupting potion for sustain. I started with w (to have a decent sustain and to do some lasthits from a far), lvl 2 I mostly took e, You might be to easily ganked early on else. At level 3 naturally q(which also gets maxed first). At this phase of the of the game you can start trading fairly easy by jumping the enemy with your e whenever he is isolated, buffer your w into it and when landed q then enemy autoatack him with your passive and get away for free due to the stormraider and the enemy being slowed by your passive. At your first back get either serrated or tiamat + boots (you normally only take serrated when the enemy totally lacks waveclear because your w + tiamat combo is great for pushing and clearing waves. At Level 6 always evolve q because the range and and the bonusdamage on his q are just way too good to ditch. At this point you should be easily able to kill/zone you lane opponent. Now its your time to roam bot and feast on their flesh. Corebuild: Ionia Boots; Tiamat(later Hydra); Duskblade/Youmus(both are great its mor a question of when to build what) + 2x situational (great are Maw; Black Cleaver; Deaths Dance; Mercurial; BT). You are really aiming for 30-40% cdr.
Lategame: poke with your w and obliterate targets who are out of positioning
How strong is K6 mid? While I personally think he is still not in a very great spot in the midlane; he excels at catching enemies who are not used to play against him off-guard. Great against all those immobile mages who think they can farm from a save distance and isolate themselves with this behavior. Pros/Cons Pros:
- High Damage potential
- Quick and fancy combos
- Quite ok lane sustain.
- Great roaming
Cons:
- Suffers really hard till level 6
- Requires the enemy to make mistakes to punish them
- Not the best lategame due to all the squishes being clumped together
- Cannot compete well with other ad assassins in midlane
How good is the Duskblade for K6? IMO DoD is a really great Item on K6 because he really makes profit out of the stats and he can perform really high damage combos without autoattacking.
How can he be buffed? In my Opinion good possibilities for buff/effects are the evolution of his W and R. (Evolutions of R could influence his passive) The concepts for such changes would be 1.: Make him apply a mark on the enemy hit for 2 sec (either with his w or his passive(tied to the R evolve)). When you q this enemy you deal extra 4% missing health true damage (also to match the void theme, which involves true damage and only true damage when target is isolated else physical damage) 2.: Make him reduce the enemys radius for isolation by 33% on hit for 2 sec (either with his w or his passive(tied to the R evolve))(This is for him to be able to assasinate someone mid teamfight)
Pls Take into consideration, that all of the buffs above should be tied to evolutions; which makes the evolution much more of a dicision making process(not like now when you always take your w as third evolution because its is the less shittier of the 2).
Greetings from /r/KhaZixmains and have fun discussing i will be in the comment section. Fjiordor [slayer-pantheon-popcorn]
