Does anyone else dislike the way they're doing story in League of Legends?
Before anybody says anything, I'm not complaining. I'm just saying my opinion, so let's get on with it. What I wanted to ask is if anyone else disliked the recent, for lack of a better word 'story arcs' that Riot has been putting out. Yes, I think they are great and add a lot to the game but I just can't bring myself to enjoy them. If you will go back to last spring when Riot unveiled a huge Bilgewater event. I was taking a short break so I didn't follow the story that much. Now again they have another, smaller 'arc'. What I dislike about these stories is that they are walls of text. There is no real interactive storytelling involved at all. I remember that during the Bilgewater event is that it had some small impacts in game, like the quests for icons and the announcer's voice changing to GP and MF. They even disabled GP for a while for the sake of 'story'. (To be honest, it just felt like an annoyance.) Now with the smaller arc "Shadow and Fortune" I am noticing more walls of text with less game impact. I understand Riot can't afford to hold a ton of big events, but something other than walls of text would be more enjoyable. I am eager to hear the communities thoughts on the matter. -MuffleMouse411
