When a dimond 3 tells you you did really good that game and your only bronze 5

well, KDA means, you can kill people without dying. this means, you can find and abuse mistakes they make. the better you are than your opponents, the higher your KDA will be. sure you can probably smash a gold player once in a while, especially in normals.

like i dont win 100% of my normal games so people are frequently super happy they won against a diamond, and they probably really believe that since they beat a diamond, they are now at least equally skilled.

but i promise you, this is a misconsception and if i match you up against any of my gold friends, you wont win a reasonable amount out of 100 games against them.

i mean, its not my intention to offend you, but its also not my intention to defy reality. you are b5, the lowest tier in existance, except the legendary "cardboard 5" i hear so much about. you probably understand so little about the game that even a silver player can make you believe he is diamond because the difference between silver and diamond in game does not even appear to you.

league of legends is a very simple game and doing things well has very little to do with flashy plays, and to see when someone did something well you need not to see a "quadrakill" shout to appear on screen, you need to understand exactly how the player is thinking and acting, exploiting the circumstances he is given to the maximum.

that is the casual friendliness in league of legends, and its nearly perfect. even tho i myself dont think thats a plus. league is designed in a way so that for beginners, many things look really cool and skillfull even when they are not, and mistakes look either really obvious or dont show at all, while its the important mistakes that dont show. this is also the key part in all of leagues communitys toxicity. people say "omg you suck, you lost us the game" while they dont see, CANT see their own failure.

if you die, its your fault and ONLY your fault, 100% of the time. if you lose the game, its AT LEAST 50% your fault. 50% is the minimum, even if you really really believe that you did good and went 8/1 and your allies sucked. HALF THE LOSS IS YOURS.

if you make no grave mistakes, your winrate in challenger will be above 80%, let alone your winrate in lower tiers. this simply shows how many really horrible mistakes we make, and the worst part: we dont see them. nobody does, because to see them, you have to have surpassed them by far allready.
