I was playing Maokai against an Akali, who managed to get 23/4/14

It was a normal experience at first where we shared trades with each other, even after 6, we trades pokes & managed to sustain ourselves with our passive heals. Until when the enemy Akali manages to grab a Hextech Gunblade, suddenly her power just spiked. She literally just all-in on me during laning phase, landed all my CC , making my ult look neglecting af, and was becoming a heavy nuisance. Fortunately, I managed to escaped all of her dives with a sliver of HPs, and I partly blamed myself for rushing Rod of Ages instead of Spirit Visage, and also a teammate who's playing Warwick Support.

Her heals were just abnormal, damages were just above the charts, and before you know it, she just bursted down squishies as fast as I can take action into protecting my ADC, despite knowing the fact that there's a Katarina & Vayne(again...) to watch out for.

Game ended in Defeat, and these are the results:

I can't remember how she was like since I didn't fought her a lot until she got buffed in this patch, so here is something I was wondering.

Why the heck were people complaining about her being excessively weak?

######But God forbid I can't complain about Yasuo when HE got fed...

She got some compensatory buffs this last patch because the assassin rework, which wasn't intended as a nerf, nerfed her dropping her wr but 10%. Her damage is still less now than 6.22, her sustain is less than 6.22, her cds are longer than 6.22, her kit is clunkier than 6.22.

Your example is an exception. The majority of games don't go that way. Hence the 41% win rate.

Pretty self explanatory.
