Why does rank decide what you can and cannot do on the boards?

Just because I'm silver doesn't mean that I cant offer suggestions on how to possibly fix things or even put in an input to the community.

I cant believe that a community would shun someone for being a lower rank than them.

You have the problem that most silver players think X is OP, so it must be true. Look at the majority of bad ideas and you will see they are silver or bronze. What most people think is a good reason is not.

Its not shame it based on the idea rank mean game understanding. Watch a bronze game and see all the weird shit that happens. The weirdness get less the higher you go up. The problem is that silver is almost half the player base. Their are plenty of wtf that goes on that can not be explained out side they do not understand what they are doing.

When was the last time you saw a gold or higher complain that they should be X but their team is holding them back on the boards? The negative impressions stick with us the longest.

well sure. but when you are giving your input about something and how it works in game chances are that you are wrong about how it works in the first place. Think of it this way would you rather listen to a pro baseball player about what needs changes or a little league player?

It's an ego trip. Just because some one doesn't want to grind into the upper ranks, doesn't mean they don't know the game. Or they might have extra accounts they don't use in ranked for posting to the boards.

I dont think anyone is shunning you or saying you cant put in your input. The thing is though you are handing out this advice, saying its something someone should work on, when you yourself haven't been able to put it in to use and get out of silver. Im not bashing you I am just saying its like taking advice from a kid on how to do taxes.

Depends on the advice. The game played at silver and diamond are different. So while your advice might me accurate for where you are at. Players often want to know how to get to diamond. They don't care about silver mechanics, even if they are silver. And knowing those mechanics will get them to gold quicker than some trick they learned from a diamond.

It's also why a lot people view bronze->diamond smurf streamers as bad for the game. You often don't really learn anything. You just watch some guy stomp another most of the time. Says why he did it. Then you go and try it and realize it's not as easy as he said.

In short, too many people think they're in elo hell unless their diamond. So unless you're diamond you're opinion is equal to elo hell.

Most lower elos just cry about something or another and declare Katarinas OP/Fizz is broken/REWORK my champion/cry cry cry/Ranked is to hard/you shouldn't loss much LP but i should gain a lot!/ETC. The list goes on honestly. A lot of people are silver and lower. Plat 5+ are only 10% of the community honestly, they are the top 10% . I'm currently the top 10.38% of league players. (as of this minute)

I know the feeling >_> Everyone assumes because we are Silver or whatever that we don't know how the game works and we are terrible players...which isn't true. I have seen higher ranked players make mistakes that I would never make in a game, so rank is not everything...

I should also add this, while there are tons of bronzies who honestly have no clue about the game, not everyone should be discretided instantly for it.
