I mean, no offense, the changes all look very well thought and Interesting, but once again, at the beginning of the Season, the whole game gets such a big overhaul, that it totaly changes strategy and gameplay.

Biggest victims of this are the junglers. I cant think of one season where the whole jungle was totaly remade, basically making everything jungle mains learned during the season pretty much useless...

Wards change as often, and it kinda feels like RIOT is still trying to find out how to deal with vision... after 7 years...

Dont get me wrong here, a part of me is exited that we get all this new stuff, and honestly, nothing of it is bad, actually its really interesting.

But another part is asking: Where is this game going?

Well the thing is, the vision of where they want to go with LOL is always changing, they want to keep a continuously changing dynamic and reinvent or fresh League's gameplay either through a small tweak at a team or a massive overhaul. Whether it's good or bad is up to you decide, but while balancing the game is in their interest they also want to keep the game fresh and exciting.

I don't feel like this is it. They want the game to be constantly changing/evolving, so it doesn't get repetitive and stale. If they stopped changing the game, people would become bored and riot likes to tilt the balance of the game to different areas all the time so it won't feel uniform. Also, if you factor in eSports, riot has said that they want LoL to be a sport that lasts, so, in a spectator's view, it is fun to see new things and changes while the players adapt, because if this game dies due to no changes, that idea is dead.

Having played for three going on four years, I can all but confirm they have no clue where they want to go! Kidding, kidding.

I have to say that in that time, the biggest trouble spot has been junglers. I can't recall many games with good junglers but many of my losses were due to junglers who refused to gank, refused to assist a lane, refused to get objectives and simply farmed camps for gold and did next to nothing. Then there are the ones who dive at level 3, on 20% health, against somebody like Riven at their own turret and yell at you for not engaging as stupidly as they did. On the opposite spectrum, there are junglers who take all the kills and buffs for themselves leaving a team relatively helpless if they were to die, which of course happens. Before season 3, jungling was optional and it was a duo top situation and I really prefer that. The concept of someone only existing to attack you if you are doing well in a lane seems more like rewarding failure and punishing success, so if I want to win a lane, I just stay back and maybe die once or twice and then have a two on one attack that gives me a kill and then another, and I end up winning. I really don't want to do that, but I've lost many a lane because I was destroying somebody and the jungler and/or other team ganged up on me. Usually I had wards to find them, but it doesn't matter if three people are charging up top all around the turret and your jungler is off playing with bramblebacks now does it?

I was really hoping for the following five changes, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

  1. Heal/Ignite cooldowns raised to 300 seconds (considering they are practically spammable with Ionian Boots and one mastery point)
  2. An item, any item, to remove summoner spell disables like QSS used to do for ignite
  3. Leashless jungle - much like Ivern, allow junglers to need no leashes so we can go lane without being pinged to help somebody take out a gromp and then die to the next camp as we say "gg ff at 20" to each other
  4. The non-resource user equalizer - an item allowing decreased cooldown, increased mana regeneration, and increased damage, against any champion that uses no health, energy, or mana (Riven, Yasuo, Tryndamere, Renekton, Rengar, etc) for the first few levels of a game
  5. Requirement for surrender at and after 25 minutes to be only three votes and not four. 20 will remain four, but afterwards three people can end a game despite the two trolls refusing to give up a 36-7 game because "we can do this!"

Hell, while I'm at it can we just have team builder back and go into the same queue as blind pick? At least we have a 100% chance of role/champ with TB and we can boot people who queue in as zilean jungle or Support Darius (he has a hook, you know.) Pretty please?
