Just a Small Rant

I don't feel like the game's matchmaking is not completely well. For example, my previous game, I won mid lane against Veigar, I had double his CS by 10 minutes, went bot, got bot fed. Late game comes around, not a single person has a CLUE on either side what to do in late game. Except for their Riven player, and simply, it isn't that I am stating that my team is trash, I'm not trying to be toxic, I am stating that because I can pick out 1 person on each team during solo queue that should not be with the team that they had been paired with. I can outplay most people I am paired against as any of my most played champions, and again, there would appear to be one person on the other side who can perform the same or even better. And it just so happens, that the people who is up against someone who knows how to outplay and win every situation against someone who does not know these things. Both parties here Lose. The overskilled people are not learning, they are stomping. The people who are being stomped on are not learning how to face someone at their level. The only cure for this as I have seen with is being with my friends who have played Ranked, and we I get paired with people at their level. And in fact, I have not lost lane on a single game of Ranked AS OF LATE, and I just feel like mine and many others cannot go forward progressively if they are facing people who cannot provide a challenge.

Kills don't win games, nor does cs. Objectives win games. Always be objectifying, get a drag, get a turret, push a lane, rotate to defend a position etc.

Lower elos win by brute force - someone gets fed and hard carries into an ace then you push while all of enemy team is dead.

Higher elos require more finesse, a small advantage like a dead enemy support can mean a free top lane, or securing that baron.

I think matchmaking is about as good as it can be. The problem is that not everyone is a consistent player. There are a lot of things out of your control and not everyone can play as well when certain things happen. So maybe a guy is the same skill as you but he got a role he isn't good at. Or just really struggles against a certain champion that the other team happens to have. There are a million things that can make a someone play poor. 1 game really doesn't tell you much about a players skill but that's all we usually see people for so we think that's just how they are. So we think of people who do poorly as bad because they did poorly the only time you have ever seen them.

I think teambuilder is huge for improving matchmaking since skill differences for players between roles is frequently massive. I think teams that magically line up at champ select is one of the biggest sources of mismatches.
