reporting

ok so i know in the old tribunal system you were instructed to not look at the Beauvoir of the other players in the case only the one who was reported. my question is why the guy could be getting flamed for a long time then suddenly snap at someone and then get reported and punished. with the new system i think it would be great if it took a look at the Beauvoir of everyone involved. say you get in a flame war with some one and then report them but they dont report you so then their case comes up for review wile you get way free. i think reports should look at the behavior of bot involved parties not only the guy getting reported but also the guy doing the reporting. for example i had a game earlier were i got reported and got a warning, and yes i had flamed during that game but my other 4 teammates did not get a warning about their behavior even thou they went wayyyyyyyyyyy beyond the flame i did saying some very horrible things and wishes. so i did report them but according to them none of them got a warning to were i did. if say the tribunal or like right now the auto ban system was to look at the case i think it should look at everyone involved. maybe i do deserve punishment for my behavior but my teammates behavior was no better in fact it was worse so i wouldn't mind getting punished as long as it was taken into consideration and review that my teammates were also horrible toxic and flamers and should also be punished.

tl;dr: i want the system to look at the Beauvoir of the guy doing the report as well as the guy who got reported also no i didn't get banned ive just seen this happen to allot of people were they get a warning/punishment for being toxic wile the equally toxic reporter gets off free

Most punishments aren't for single incidents so if you were punished but they weren't it most likely means that their behavior was less common than yours.

Its not a matter of who was more toxic, its more a matter of who is toxic more often.

Any energy you put towards thinking about their punishments or lack there of is completely wasted. The only questions you should be asking is what you did to get punished and how can you avoid doing it in the future.

well i plan on just auto muting everyone and not saying a word

Then you can be reported for "Refusing to Communicate" (or something like that...)

So riot has set up an effective "damned if you do, damned if you dont" rule If you respond, you are reported and banned for "retaliation" If you decide to just mute the team to save yourself the grief, headache, and stress of toxic flamers. Then you can be reported to "refusing to communicate"

and who cares if its the team that is going out of thier way to PROVOKE a response, just the fact that you did or didnt respond is enough to get you banned.

Nice work riot, no wonder the trolls/griefers/flamers get to decide who plays your game. You gave them full control

THE OTHER PLAYER IN THE GAME I WAS REPORTED FOR WAS WAY MORE TOXIC THAN ME. HOW COME I WAS PUNISHED?

Simply speaking, retaliation is not an acceptable or justifiable behavior. An argument between two players can easily create a negative experience for the rest players in the game with you. Regardless of the other player’s actions, this does not justify your own behavior. You alone are responsible for your actions within the game. If you encounter a toxic player like this, the best option is to simply report their behavior and move on.

my issues is that everyoneeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee deserved one

It doesn't often take a single match of getting reported to be punished. Most likely they haven't had many reports recently, while you have, or whatever you said in that match was simply that much more severe to warrant a single report to get punished.
