The LoL Community Doesn't Accept New Players Very Well

Basically, I was playing with a buddy of mine last game. We have a lot of time invested into this game, and know the basics; I'm not implying that we're good, because we're not, but we've got a bit of experience on how most games go. My buddy had a friend whom had just started playing League of Legends, so we played blind pick. In this game, my buddy wanted to teach his friend how to play ADC.

Being the new player that she is, she locked Jinx, despite the other two players on our team calling duo bot. The duo asks if she's mid, we reply, "No. Sorry. She's new. We were wanting to teach her how to play ADC."

The duo responds with "idc have fun mid." Locks Sivir Leona

Since champion select had turned into a massive shit storm, I just said to hell with it and picked Gragas mid and my buddy JarvanIV jungle.

I realize that our friend played pretty badly, and didn't respect blind pick call order, but she was new. Is the community really _that _ immature?

I can only imagine being a new player at this moment. You know absolutely nothing about the game, get anally destroyed by waves of smurfs, and on top of it all, nobody is willing to work with you to help you become a better player.

Something to think about.

This community hardly ever considers that they were once in the same boat and arent willing to extend the same courtesy that others may have given them for being new.

I know what it's like to be absolutely abused by your team for being new and I would never, EVER do that to someone who isn't versed with this game. It's disgusting to uphold such a 'git gud' attitude like that. Like grow the fuck up, really.

I'm trying to teach someone right now and it's ridiculous. I've just made it a rule that she mutes everyone immediately when the game starts. I find it a bit hard that you don't have access to your runes or masteries starting. If anything it makes the learning curve so much more difficult. Teaching someone to last hit is hard enough when you do so little base damage. I don't know how I ever made it past my first few games.

game doesnt suit anyone that isnt competitive because you can effect others by being bad since it is a team game esp with low amount of players per team it makes it easier for one player if hes really bad to bring the team down from another even skilled team.
