I truly do not understand these worldwide RP Price adjustments

All the prices to buy things with RP are balanced around the original (as on NA) amounts of RP awarded for the various price tiers. So why are we lowering the RP awarded instead of increasing the price for each tier? Doing so majorly fucks with purchase combinations and such.

For example, without sufficient amounts of RP left-over from previous purchases, on OCE you will now need to buy $15 of RP to get enough RP for a 1350 skin, because $10 will now only give 1100 RP. Why can't we instead pay say, $12 (not calculated just a hypothetical number) to get 1380 RP, just like on NA.

I am not purchasing any further RP until this is sorted.

Because round numbers look better to consumers. If you take competition out as a factor(which since there is no competitor to 'Riot Points'), 10 dollar lots will sell better than 12.

Also, it never goes over well to raise prices, so companies will typically lower yield before raising prices when such is needed.

So why are we lowering the RP awarded instead of increasing the price for each tier?

Changing the RP cost of items rather than changing the monetary cost of RP would be more detrimental to people who had previously purchased RP. They made their monetary purchases at the old prices.

Whether they reduced RP-per-real-currency unit or increased RP-cost-per-item, people would complain and feel cheated. The chosen method minimizes the negative effect on existing RP.
