Why remove a convenient feature?

On the legacy client and for awhile in the new client, you could type champion names (or a part of a champion's name) and put a | (shift backslash, I don't know what the symbol is called). I.E Pantheon|Lissandra|Lucian|Jarvan. Champion select would then just show these champions, in the new client the feature was kind of broken and often showed champions that weren't on the list instead of champions that were but now the feature is gone altogether and all that's left is the built-in filter. It was super convenient and I'd like it back, please. No one I ask even remembers this being a feature but it's really useful when you're looking to play a specific set of champions that are of more than 1 primary role since you don't have to look through over 100 champions or the entirety of a couple primary roles.
