Lookin for another support to buy, and these two have been on my list for a while. Problem is, I dunno which one to get. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Leona is a more reliable initiator. Leona is overall tankier. Leona has a more foolproof CC combo. (almost everything is instant) She really doesn't need a lot of defensive stats to be as tanky. She doesn't need much mana sustain.

Nautilus has a longer CC train. (a lot of his CC is noticeably more delayed). Nautilus actually has a knock-up, capable of knocking up entire teams. (good for Yasuos) Has mobility for emergency escapes. Is tougher to kill when his shield is up. Has really bad mana sustain. (Affects his tankiness bcz shield) High mana costs with low mana base.

The only reason that Leona might win is because she can stay in lane for longer if constant skirmishes are happening.

Leona if you want more reliable CC, Nautilus if you want more reliable durability.

some pros and cons for op

Leona: +mana regen +strong sustain in lane +instaclear wards +very strong ult +constant CC chain in long teamfights +scales strongly with health +insane level 3 power spike +can control/zone multiple enemies at once during fights +great peel +can usually get a double when enemy dives tower +good build paths +great roaming ganks

-no escapes besides E+Q+run away -no damage after early game -chance in solo q of ADC not following up in lane -squishy if you dont land your W -sunglasses reduce damage by 1 (rito pls change hidden passive >:C ) -no reliable disengage -needs to build "real" items on support income -can only lane as support (i mean jungle but ehhhh) -poor waveclear without sunfire -hard to get away from sticky fighters like MasterYi Udyr Nunu

I'd say Nautilus as he has more versatility as a support. He can sit and play the passive game, he can be aggressive, he can peel effectively, he can engage, and disengage.

Leona has a much harder time of a lot of that and frankly suffers tremendously from not going aggressive in lane, all she can do is go in to be honest.
