is there such a thing as a good double ADC bot lane?

K, so I've noticed something as of late. Whenever there's a game with two adcs bot lane, it usually doesn't go well for them. I've been on both ends of the spectrum, and recently got through a double adc game that went poorly to say the least (when I last checked the score, it was 3 to 25, and most of our towers were gone.) Now don't get me wrong, I'm not pinning the loss solely on the fact that we had double adc bot lane. Things were going poorly in general. Communication was lousy, and we were simply out played.

But I ain't here to whine about a lost game (pretty sure I've done that plenty already) I'm here to ask if any of you guys have had a double adc game that went well. If so, what did you guys do that made it work? Any specific adcs that work well together bot lane? I'm curious (plus I wanna avoid stuff like this happening in the near future)

Its not all that effective unless both can get insanely fed. Since they are sharing farm, thus hindering their gold income. Which AD carries NEED alot of.

But there is such a thing as a kill lane. Something like Draven XinZhao bottom lane combos. Basically taking a fighter with insane early game with a lane bully AD carry and brutally murdering the enemy bottom so hard, they are non existent for the rest of the game.

But again, that can fail really hard if the enemy team doesn't give you the kills. Since you have 1 under fed carry, and no support for team fights.

Xin is a legit tank support for solo queue. I mean, Koreans have taken Irelia support and Irelia support is nowhere near as good as Xin support. He has decent peel and is pretty gold independent.

I personally havent had a double adc game, but I dont really see how it would work. probably a constant battle over cs with two squishies. But hey, maybe its like duo top and could work if done right

The problem with a double ADC lane is that it's tough for two people to share farm, and also it doubles the effectiveness of defensive items for the other team (Much easier to itemize against because of a non-diverse team). If I had to say any duo bot worked well, it would involve one with either tons of engage/kill potential, or one of the adcs having CC abilities to essentially act as support. Examples being Ashe and Jinx for CC, maybe Trist for kill potential (She has a great All-In, in my experience).

TL;DR: Ashe and Trist may have a decent time with Ashe's Utility filling the support role and having strong engage, while Trist can all in and follow up on Ashe's engages.

I played Cait support into Vayne before, taking AD runes, 9-0-21 masteries, and the spellthief's edge to enhance my harass. It ended well, Vayne wasn't able to cs for the early portion of the game, but come mid and late game I was utterly useless unless someone stepped on my traps. Ashe support can work with her slow and ult stun (I'm recalling information from before rework, her slow may not be strong enough to be useful now.) but I still wouldn't recommend it over say Brand or Annie, or the typical supports.

The only way a Double ADC bot lane would work is if you have a utility ADC as your support. The ultility ADC that is playing support would basically do nothing but harass the enemy as much as possible and offer the utility for peel late game. As far as sharing CS between the 2 carries...that is really up to you, though it's probably better to have your main ADC farm during the lane phase, have your "support" adc grab coin to get some gold from the lane CS and just hope for kills. Maybe it's smarter for your main carry ADC get the farm, but when you get into the 2v2 fights, try to give the kills over to your utility "support" adc. Though I wouldn't finish Coin, I'd just get coin on the utility adc and then rush a Sightstone on the first back...then go full normal ADC build afterwards.

As for which ADCs would work best with eachother...Maybe have your main adc being a hyper carry while ofc your support adc a utility adc.

Utility ADC that might work "ok" as a support:

Ashe Possibly the best ADC that can be played as a support. In-fact her secondary role is Support since she offers the highest amount of slows and a strong stun for peel. Plus her vision with her hawkshot is very important.

Kalista This one could be argued of being a decent one. With her % health damage, and scouting abilities she can still be helpful in lane. As for team fights and forms of peel, she still has a slow and her Ult can be amazing for when the enemy team jumps on your main carry.

Jinx I don't know about her for a support adc, but she does offer a snare, slow and a lot of strong poke on top of a very powerful global ultimate. Her peel wouldn't be there for the main adc though.

Varus Would offer the highest amount of safe poke on the list, and a more reliable slow than Jinx/Kalista. He wouldn't have much for pre-6 for peel but his ultimate is possibly the strongest form of peel for a carry when team fights come around, though hitting his ult would probably be the hardest.

Those are the ADC's that I consider "utility" adc that might be alright as a support. Though I wouldn't suggest doing double ADC bot lane. If you really want 2 adcs in the same game, then it's best to send one of them Mid or Top though and even then you would need a very strong peeling support to make those work tbh.

The sad thing is that last game had me playin Lucian with a Varus bot. And I knew he had no intention of playing support. We ended up competing for cs, and eventually he ditched me for top lane, leaving me to fight the duo of Jinx and Nami alone. Our jungle Ryze (I was unaware you could even jungle with that guy. Not to mention the dude was way behind) came to help a few times, but it really didn't help.

I would've told the Varus to play sup, but I knew that would only lead to a fight, and I was really not in the mood for that.

If I had to theorycraft, I'd say Draven Kalista would be an absurdly strong kill lane with insane burst, chase, and self peel.

ADC's are Extremely Item dependent because their auto attack focused. But for the same reason, it make them less level dependent, which is why they can share a lane.

Not only do the Two ADC's suffer, but if you lack a support item, your team would have less gold over all, probably causing you to lose the team fights. Aside from not having a support warding the map.

Also, having 2 glass cannon AD's can be pretty easily countered by a thornmail or other Armor item. (picked up by the support most likely) If you have a good poke support, your lane becomes more mixed damage and harder to defend against.

gangplank makes a good support option because with utility masteries and spellthief items(if you want them) allow his pokes and auto attacks against a champion to generate 13-18 gold per hit per 5 and 10 seconds respectively, but typically 5

when you build him as crit plank, his gold income just skyrockets while the ADC can feed off of their team if they dont' retreat

Its one of those situations where, if it fails. You screw the whole team over. But if it works, its quite good in teamfights IF you have someone to peel.

i was jinx with my friend who went Kalista, i spammed w, stole some kills (didn't help that they had a Darius ADC), if they make a bad mistake you punish them, like the Darius did, he went Darius ADC and paid the price with 5 deaths in 7 mins, i had IE in 12 mins, here is the link if you want to see some stats: http://matchhistory.oce.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-details/OC1/105708656/201357776?tab=overview

don't worry I only went 16-1-14

You can easily play double Marksmen, but not double ADC. That's in the name: Carry. A carry needs to be fed and it is difficult to feed two in the same lane. One of the marksmen needs to play supportify.

Ashe was quite common at a time, Kalista was emediately theorised to be a viable Support uppon release and I think Jinx can play support too.

It's possible but you need to make sure your team can make up for the utility of a support in some way, and you need to make sure the enemy doesn't have a kill lane that will shit on you, so in other words impossible in solo queue.
