Mechanics Overview and Thoughts

So I've been thinking about some of the mechanics in the game that have gone through changes, are unique, and feel overused. I wanted some thoughts on three about either their changes, concepts, or innovations that can be thought up from these.

**Fear **: Recently got changed into what was previously classified to Terrify (which was unique to Hecarim) Fear previously forced then enemy (or enemies with Shaco box) to run in random directions with reduced movement for a brief time. Now functioning as Terrify, the target runs away from the one that applied the effect. I see why they did it from a realistic/logical perspective of running away from what scares you. Although if that were the case, I personally would be running much faster if I was afraid.

Bouncing: By this I mean the Bouncing Bombs from Ziggs, Zac's Let's Bounce and Heimerdinger's Upgrade: CH-3X Lightning Grenade. Are there any others I forgot with this? I think its a clever mechanic and annoying at the same time (when on the receiving end of Ziggs XD). I pose more of a question with this in that, should there be more bounce mechanics (at least maybe one more unique person that can at least).

Dissolve: What I mean by this is Vladimir's Sanguine Pool and Maokai's Twisted Advance. Both of these characters "dissolve" into the ground and are untargetable by enemy abilities while DoT effects and tethers still hold true. With Vladimir, he can move around for 2 seconds in this form and Maokai guarantees a snare on target while being safe from harm (can also be tricky and use it to dodge skill shots). I think this mechanic deserves a resurface onto someone new because it is strong mechanically and with good balance on Cooldowns and duration, rewarding and also not too frustrating to deal with.

For "Fear", I think that overall it should be reverted back to how it was, or the enemy can still flee from the caster but not only cause them to run away but randomly change the direction they could be running away from. Instead of a straight line flee, they could run away first then maybe randomly turn in another direction that is still considered fleeing. As long as it doesn't make them run towards a threshold that would be considered towards the caster.

We have bouncing grenades, bouncing bombs, and a bouncing blob (no offense to ZAC). What else could be clever enough for the League to incorporate this mechanic? I think one more character wouldn't be too bad overall (although I don't think Riot needs to bring out new characters so quick like they used to in the past anymore).

I think dissolve is a great mechanic but is definitely one that shouldn't be overused. That being said, with over 100 characters in League of Legends, I can only think of two guys who have this mechanic; Vladimir and Maokai. Now there are abilities like Elise's Rappel and Fizz which I'll accept as a dodge mechanic with dissolve but the dissolve aspect itself I think is cool overall. Maybe Lissandra's claw (might be a little tricky).

Are there mechanics you're fond of? Hate the changes to or just hate? Or is there a mechanic you think deserves to be introduced into League of Legends?

Before new mechanics are introduced I would like Riot to clear up some existing mechanics.

Leaps acting as dashes with just a jump animation for one. Clarification on what walls are dashable and what aren't.

When I played Dota in WC3 days it had "Sleep" which was essentially a suppress but had the caveat that if you attacked a "sleeping" champion the suppress was lifted.

Basically you get stunned but if you take damage the stun stops.
