Anime is a big interest to me. I've watched quite a lot and always ask myself the question, "Which one is my all time favorite?" Which is tough because something new can come out, amaze me, but then remind me of another older anime that was similar and rewatch that and remember the first time I saw it. It's a tough question for me to answer but eventually I start putting down my favorites in different categories; Sci-fi, Romance, Sport/Athletic, Slice-of-life, Mystery, etc.

If I had to pick 5 though, regardless of genre or age of the show. It would have to be:

Gundam Wing
Outlaw Star
Sword Art Online
Card Captor Sakura
SHUFFLE!

So I want to ask. What is your favorite anime or what is the first anime that comes to mind for you, and what about it makes it your favorite or memorable? It can even be a show that you just hate. Why do you hate the show? I hated the anime School Days. I didn't even feel bad for the guy in the end of the show. Also kind of forced myself to watch it out of the sake of finding out why others hated the show. I found my answer.

This season I've really been enjoying Kill la Kill and Chuunibyou, but my all time favorites would probably be Cowboy Bebop and Full Metal Alchemist. The new Eva movies are also fantastic. Still hoping for the announcement of a second season for Attack on Titan...

I'm not too sure about Shingeki Season 2. From what I hear (and have read) after the Female Titan Arc, things tend to go downhill.

I actually really like how the manga has been going. The arc after where the anime ended is a little slow at first, but ramps up pretty well. The more recent plot developments have also been pretty interesting. I've definitely heard a good amount of people who agree with you, but I'm excited at the prospect at least. :)

Oh no kidding. I vastly enjoy AoT/SnK (Heh, SNK) and I'll probably watch another season. I'm just worried about where it's going.

That and some of the characters didn't really jump out at me. Mikasa and Eren are kinda poorly written and Levi is Release Xin levels of OP.

I like where Attack on Titan is going just wish that the series didn't update once a month. I need to watch the new Eva movies.

Cowboy Bebob and FMA are definitely in my top 10! Its really hard for me to try and pick most of the time. Kill La Kill is ridiculously awesome just as Guren Lagann. I've been needing to catch up on it.

I actually hadn't watched Gurren Lagann until recently. I didn't have internet for a few days, so I just marathoned the whole series. That anime is the very personification of the "that escalated quickly" meme.

Seeing as you mention Cowboy Bebop, I feel I should mention Space Dandy as a quirky lil gem of alien bounty hunting.

I like Space Dandy, I'm just not sure where it's going. If it's just going to be a series of roughly unrelated one-shots forever, then I'm fine with that, it's perfectly enjoyable. I was just hoping for a little bit more continuity from a series made by the people behind Cowboy Bebop, Soul Eater, and FMA.

My first ever anime I watched entirely was Gundam Seed. Watched a few of the "big animes" afterwards and eventually fell into some shorter animes, those with like 20-30 episodes.

If I had to make a top 5, would probably go around the lines of, in no particular order

Death Note
Gundam 00
Code Geass
Gundam Seed/Destiny
SoA

Gundam Wings would probably fall somewhere close after.

Also, Gunpla Modeling.... aw yissss

I am a HUGE!!!!!! Gundam Fan. Gundam Wing was my first one so I have a special place for it in the list. Gundam 00 was fantastic! and Gundam Build Fighter really got me excited. I have the Gundam Unicorn model kit (haven't put it together yet) and can't wait to build it. I do miss some anime going up to 32-40 episodes. I feel like that was a good length for those with a solid story-line. Some short ones feel too short or that they are missing/needing another season but never happen.

I have yet to start the Build Fighters series but as for gundam models, got myself 3 real grades and 2 master grades.

Dem master grades so much fun to build.

I just recently got into anime, so I have a massive backlog of shows to watch (including Full Metal Alchemist, Code Geass, some Gundam show, and Sword Art Online.) My favorite series I've watched so far are Angel Beats, Toradora, Sakurasou, Mondaiji, Kokoro Connect, and Yozakura Quartet: Hana no Uta. This season I'm watching Kill la Kill (which I'm behind on), Log Horizon, and Chuunibyou. Log Horizon is great, and this season of Chuuni is better than the first. Also, the worst anime I have ever watched is Oreimo. It was so promising early on... but the second half of the second season ruins it all.

Ya the second season really didn't work for me either on Oreimo. I thought the entire premise and how the first season went was hilarious and well done though.

Top 5 (in no particular order): Hunter x Hunter, Diamond no Ace, Kuroko no Basket 2, Magi 2: The Kingdom of Magic, Hajime no Ippo: Rising.

Personally, I'd rate Sword Art Online 7/10 (second part of where the game transitioned from SAO to Alfheim was absolutely horrible imo). I really like the things going on with Kirito; I like watching anime with characters similar to him. Kind of a cool, silent guy style.

Right now though, I found a really nice Romance manga, not sure if there's an anime of it, but that would be one of my favorites as well. Watashi ni xx Shinasai
