Ever feel like you got chat restriction for maybe saying one thing like "reeked" in all chat?

So your carrying your team hard, and I mean hard. your mid is 0-5 yet your 5-0 in the jungle so you can pull them through. The team sets up a bank to set you down

You 1v3 them with a sick ass outplay

you say "come at me bro" in call chat

next thing you realize you got a 4 game chat restriction and are like "wtf am I really getting chat restricted from salty ass players mad that they lost and so just are looking for an excuse to hit the "verbal abuse" button since they hate that you carried" "do real people who aren't nuns or a robot compliing statistics as to "you receive 40% more reports than the average player=toxic"

the answer is no. Ragers can hit the report button, and if enough do, you will get chat restricted/suspended/banned.

Here is the ticket I sent

" Hi I just played a game where I believe I exhibited no negative behavior besides being 18-3-8 yet right after the game I get notice im on a 4 game chat restriction. So if being too good is a reportable function for people who get mad cause they feed too much than I'd like to know. Otherwise I'd like specific quotes and a context of the situation from why I got this sentence. Thank you

Here is the response from riot (basically hey we don't look at reports at all, we just ban players with "higher than normal reports" " Cypher (Riot Games Player Support) Apr 9, 13:34

Hello Inan,

While the Tribunal is in recess, we're unable to provide specific chat logs or reform cards for chat restrictions. I'd be happy to help clarify what's going on but it's important to note ahead of time, we will not be removing or reducing the number of chat restrictions placed on an account

We've investigated your account and found higher than average levels of toxicity as a result of your actions in the matches you play. As a result, we have decided to place chat restrictions on your account to help you adjust your behavior in-game.

Our chat restriction system is in place while the Tribunal is currently in extended maintenance while the Development team works on improved features and enhancements.

The chat restriction system works by analyzing recently played games on your account. This doesn't take into account the amount of time that passes between games, which prevents players from simply waiting out punishments. Additional chat restrictions may be placed after your first round is complete if there is no visible improvement in behavior. It's possible to receive punishments harsher than chat restrictions should toxic behavior persist (including temporary and permanent suspensions).

It's important to remember that there is no excuse for being rude to others. If you think other players are intentionally trolling, then be sure to report them at the end of the game. Arguing with them in-game is rarely an effective tactic. If you're having a bad game, insulting your teammates doesn't help them improve, and it won't help you win the match. If you're not going to say anything nice, don't say anything at all.

If an argument is getting heated within the game, you have a few options. You can hide [ALL] chat, mute individual players, or move the chat box away from the screen.

Wait so while the tribunal is in recess i can still get punishment for bullshit reasons that aren't even reviewed? The fact is salty people who feed report more than ppl who have a good game (and this is truth), so if you do well and use all chat, even if your not flaming a certain person and just chatting with people (replying to people who talk shit is apparently a crime) than its like a instant chat restrict. Rito please, we players deserve better. During intense situation tensions raise and seeing the actions from teammates/enemy players cause frustration. Doesn't mean we deserve suspensions for saying shit like "really jax?" when he's farming the raptor camp while the enemy takes your inhib turrent cause you had to 4v5 a siege. Actions speak more than words and should be treated as just.

ALSO!!!!! If you can't provide specific quotes to why a player got chat restricted THEN YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO CHAT RESTRICT THAT PLAYER, cause I can assure there was no verbal abuse in the games leading up to the chat restriction unless going 6-1 on kids is considered "negative attitude."

the short answer is "yes" - thanks to the ingenious system lyte developed. if you go 6-1 it's better to say "sensei, oh i was just so lucky, you are definitely more skilled than i am" - make some kowtow memes and spam them. because hey according to lyte that's how the world works
