funny thing is, jesse would be one of the guys caring only for the visual update and being all hyped up while walt would be the one who has deeper insight

Probably because A, nobody asked for a Fiora visual update, just a kit rework B, Fiora was already a great looking character, and if anything a tune up would have been fine, but not a complete overhaul of her look C, the new look she has is completely terrible and off putting
Should we just pretend they didn't massively fuck up and do something horribly wrong (that wasn't needed in the first place) just because they updated her kit?
Sure, they did some cool things for her kit, but the negatives outweigh the positives here. You gotta let Riot know is mass force when they fuck something up, otherwise it always goes unchanged.
