Was expecting some big event on the 31st

Oddly nothing happened. The cinematic left me expecting something amazing. The skins sales are great but it's all been kinda lackluster.

It's the end of the year basically and from worlds I don't expect anything too big from them. I have a feeling we are only going to get little info on this new champion and then finally released next year since it's almost winter break for them which means most if not all workers will be out. I doubt we'd get the ultimate skin this year if the ways are going how they have been.

Must be nice to work at riot this time of year. Get multiple months off for the playoffs up till the end of worlds (a lot of them were over seas not working, just spectating, going to Korea etc. I know because I follow a lot of them on twitter for example). Then they get back to work for about a month, then thanksgiving here in the states, then almost the entire month of December off until around the very end when they start the preseason.

It is no wonder they love E-sports so much at Riot now that I think about it, cause it gives them so much off time.

Pretty much. Which is why we barely see anything done this time of year. Summoners Rift has been on PBE since earlier this year and getting into another beta on the live client. Which is nice but I doubt any drastic changes to it if needed will actually happen till most of them are back to work next year. After that the only thing we can hope for is a winter event and like all other events they'll probably just give a another mode (showdown more likely or Urf) and maybe 1-3 new holiday skins, along with the rest of the winter skins from past years! After that there is nothing they'd do till next year!

It hasn't needed any drastic changes for about 2 months now. I've been playing with it on the PBE for a while and the only changes they have made to it were the new stuff for the jungle changes, which isn't coming with the SR update to live so really all that they were waiting for was people to get back to work after worlds.

I can say with 100% certainty (and from playing the map on the pbe for a while) that it would have went live about 2 months ago if it wasn't for playoffs/worlds.

They're sort of getting ready to unveil the biggest changes to the game we've seen in a year.

they didn't even bother to say that they just had their 5 year game launch anniversary (last week) so I wasn't expecting anything. I'm surprised they did "as much" as they did.

Yes to be fair big game changes coming soon but they seem to not care about much of much since before worlds and are just now getting back to work on the new Summoner's Rift
