Elo Hell DOES exist, but not for the reasons you think.

Hear me out for a minute before you say "Get better scrub" or "you just play Aram" after checking my match history, well of course that's what 2 accounts are for you silly heads! I'm not gonna whine and complain about dynamic queue, or broken champs or anything, i will however shed some light on the real reason that Elo hell may or may not exist in your experience.

Mk, here goes, on my main account i got placed into Gold, i didn't have any AFK's, or feeders or trolls in my placements, and then i EASILY, and i mean EASILY climbed up the ladder (this was before dynamic queue though) to plat. Which thanks to my own limitations of champions i am willing and not willing to play, i keep getting stuck between plat 1, and plat 2, it's just a back and forth battle but i know that it's my fault in that department. And i am willing to accept that, when i want to advance further, i'll break down and buy some dumb OP champs like everyone else does, or play the stupid OP champs that everyone else does, the time is not right though xD, yet. But hey, i take the blame for it at least, i know it's my own issue there.

However, on this account, i was placed into silver 2 right away thanks to having a couple matches with an AFK sadly this was also before /remake was a thing, so this account got stuck in silver. No big deal, i figured if i can get plat 1 on my main, silver will be nooooo problem. I was wrong. For some reason Silver is just ridiculously hard to get out of, you get 1 good match, then lose 3 matches to premades, sometimes even the same damn premade. And you can tell they have voice chat, and even plan out their champion select, where as i get 5 solo queue players that just want to play the champs they think they are good at, even if they are completely countered by the enemy picks.

I find the hardest obstacle is the difference in how hard either team is trying to win. Solo queue players will most likely pick the champ they feel they are best at, because they feel they HAVE to carry the match, i used to be one of those people who thought i was the only hope to win, but i outgrew that and realized it really is all in the teamwork. However there are cases where you WILL have to be the carry.

Solo queue players most often pick the champ that they are best at so they can try to carry, even if that champ is countered by the champ the enemy picked, but they feel they are so good at it, that it won't matter, which is just not the case. Sadly, this is the downfall to the whole solo queue and dynamic queue issue, you have a coordinated premade picking champs that synergize well with eachother, vs the solo queue players picking champs that they are good at regardless of counters. Half the battle of this game is Champ select, plain out. Some matches are literally decided in champ select, and that's how RIot wants it, they want champ select to be more skill based, and more coordinated and teamwork based, so for premades, that is great, but if you play solo, it's awful.

So to clarify, Elo hell isn't because of your team mates "sucking" and you being good and getting dragged down by them, no, Elo hell is when there is such a huge difference in trying to win the game in every part. There are 3 things that combine together to win this game, Champ select, Objectives, and Team Fights. Obviously one team will be much better at all 3, than the other, and it all starts with champ select.

Thanks to dynamic queue, basically the only way to win is to be in a group and have coordinated champ picks that synergize well, and to have voice chat. That is half the battle, getting a great team comp, and having great communication. If you don't win that half, you lose without a miracle. Let's face it, how often do you see 5 solo queue players on one team, pick champs that have great team fight synergy and potential, that's right, 9 times out of 10, they will pick the champs they are best at regardless of counters and synergy, because that's the champ they are most skilled with, and they have this urge to carry as they feel that is the only way.

So there you have it, Elo hell isn't where your team sucks, and you do good and get dragged down by them, no, Elo hell is where there is such a huge difference in strategy starting with match making. In short, if you want to escape elo hell, you need to win the champ select first. Champ select is such a huge part of the game now, it's MASSIVE, it's half the battle in fact. You need to pick a team comp that has team fight synergy, like CC chains, or super ranged burst with CC engage etc, whatever the case may be, you need TEAM FIGHT SYNERGY.

I don't want to blame Dynamic queue fully for this problem, since this account was placed in silver before dynamic queue existed, but it is a big part of the problem NOW. There is just too many matches where more often than not, you go against a premade that very clearly won the champ select battle, there for will have a much easier and more advantageous team fight capabilities. It's really that simple, coordination, synergy, and communication will ALWAYS beat the team that picked the champs that they are good at, it's just clear as day. That's how big champ select is now, and that's how great an impact of having a premade has considering the huge advantages it gives you in every way shape and form.

That's why i also have some tips, play 2-3 matches at a time with breaks in between. IF you lose 2 in a row, just stop, go get a snack, watch an episode of tv, come back later, and try again. Also, have another account for FUN, this is my FUN account for mostly ARAMS and rotating game modes, where as my other account is strictly for ranked. You need to be able to find the light at the end of the tunnel, or you will tilt your balls off the earth and lose more, and it becomes a vicious cycle. Lastly, i hate giving this tip because of how CHEAP AND LAME it is, but get some friends and make premades and get on voice chat. That'll make it sooooo much easier than relying on RNG match making.

That about sums it up dudes and dudettes, lemme know what you think, and GLHF summoners! [slayer-jinx-catface]

Thats because plats not very far from silver if you actually look at it. Sounds like you are just tilting vs players close to your skill level. Ive seen silvers destroy plats ive seen diamonds lose to golds its really not that strange at all. Even if the shit has corn in it its still shit.
