MMR.....isnt that number the same thing as saying someone silv-gold-plat etc? it pretty much stands for the same thing

MMR itself.....why is everything hidden? aka why not tell us how the matchmaking actually matches us together unless its some terrible system you dont want us to see?

Borders to other teams.......how is it toxic to see the enemy teams borders if they have one, like why do you get concerned with that when there is things like lolnexus and i can see your rank, last yrs rank, click on your name and see your last w/e amount of games? only thing i can think of is to many people were complaining about the lopsided teams and you chose to not make it so obvious besides 3rd party sites that it was lopsided.....compared to explaining how MM works or fixing it to be even?

MM itself seems broken in almost every way, if people were legit to say the truth i think most can agree that during your series the quality of your teammates drops a decent amount (toxic or not) when you win to many games you a huge increase in toxic/afk teammates

i mean this ones kinda personal but im gold, and i play with bronze and plat/diamonds all the time....honestly i should be playing with golds since thats what level im at

idk, imo if matchmaking made matches by everyones rank/mmr it would be alot better (silver 3's vrs silver 3's or diamond 1's vrs diamond 1's)

rather than like some of my last matches where it was a plat, 2 golds, 1silver , 1 unranked VS a diamond, 3 golds, and a silver

sadly i know a rioter will never come on here, and if they do they prob wouldnt give me a str8 answer and probably saying something like "statistically blah blah" but all i wanna know is how MM really works and why this stuff is hidden because honestly it just seems like its to cover up a bad design and minimize feedback

Oh the algorithm for the mmr system is extremely basic to put it politely. It would be way to easy to game the system if you knew how it worked and it isn't complicated enough for people to not figure it out if they showed it.

A large amount of the community already understands how it works. It's not black magic and it's not there to give you a bad time.

You cite being gold and playing with anything from bronze to plat, or even diamond. You cite a match with a spread of ranked accomplishments across both teams. I'm going to assume these are normal games, right? Normal games use a completely separate MMR from ranked, and it's definitely in no way connected to your ranked division. And actually, the spread in your example seems pretty reasonable for the normal queue. Note: Many higher-ranked players play almost exclusively ranked, and have for a while, so their normal MMR hasn't caught up with any skill improvements they've made since they were last playing normal games regularly.
