matchmaking should match people based on each players mmr, not the whole teams

team mmr= filling gaps and ends up being lopsided matches alot of the time

matching based on players=more balanced...

why are we not doing this again?

example, team based mmr as you im sure have all seen (hypothetical numbers but it shows the point) Team A=diamond 1(2000mmr)+bronze5(100mmr)+bronze5(100mmr)+bronze5(100mmr)+bronze5(100mmr)...team mmr=2400

Team B=gold5(480mmr)+gold5(480mmr)+gold5(480mmr)+gold5(480mmr)+gold5(480mmr)...team mmr=2400

^^^ system thinks this is an even match, and it isnt by a longshot

matched by player mmr? example Team A=diamond 1(2000mmr)+bronze5(100mmr)+bronze5(100mmr)+bronze5(100mmr)+bronze5(100mmr)

now the system looks for opponets it should look like this player slot 1=looks for someone around 2000mmr player slot 2-5=looks for someone around 100mmr

why is this not implemented and why is it going by teams?

do you guys agree or disagree? leave a comment why you feel such

Or they could, you know, just bound the game so that all players are within two TIERS or each other without regard to MMR, like a ranked league system is supposed to work in the first place, and limit duo queues in ranked to the same three-tier range. e.g. if the highest-tier player is gold V, it only searches for players from gold III to silver III. Once it finds and adds a player from silver III to the match, no player above the gold V dude can be added as the entire range is full.

The current tier system basically blatantly lying to you about what type of games you're playing in ranked is a bit annoying and results in weird algorithm bugs, and I can't seriously believe that there aren't enough players to do this while keeping wait times in the 5-min or less range.

Doesn't explain situations like this, however. Double premade vs single and thousands of normal games over the other team. The odds of these diamond/gold players losing so much that they can be brought down to the normal match making level despite having so many games of these sub 30's is highly unlikely. Riot may start new account's base MMR at way to high a value leading to this stupidity. Riot also stated they intended to have ranked impact normal MMR to some extent in the future so things like this would not occur but they clearly never implemented this.
