ROFL is opened via the client from your match history, and has to be from the same patch. WEBM is a common video format.

I need to open the WEBM files to view my highlights, but Windows Media Player won't open them.

They are not videos, they are recordings of all the movements, actions ect in a game that you can replay (recreate the game from that data) with the client from match history.

Oh.

How do I view my highlights then?

Open the ROFL file and record them. You dont have highlights until you record them from it. They are just video clips from a game.

But when viewing a replay you can record a highlight in the client, do I really need to open the ROFL file and record it again?

Open the recorded video, not the saved game. It should be a webm file, which you can open in any decent video editor.

I think he misspoke. Try opening the webm file in your web browser and it should play. I believe YouTube will accept the webm format as well.

2 months old but you can open WEBM highlight videos from VLC player perfectly fine or right-click the file and then open with Google Chrome

Thanks alot, but they finally implemented the highlights feature so it's not too necessary right now ;)
