I recently went back to the Old Client and I have to say

It's so much better. It might not have the visual flare that the new client has, but everything is so clean and organized. It is much more organized than the new client, and I'll argue that the older champion page in the shop is so superior to the new one that they should reconsider which one to use. I'm all for updating the client, but they lost so much clarity when they reworked it to fit with the Hextech theme. Even the old sounds were sharp and crisp, and I can't help but feel like the new ones are just a blur and hard to differentiate.

I guess my request would be an option to have some retro features when everyone is eventually forced to switch to the new client. It would be nice with an option for old sounds, or even old icons in the client, as I feel like the lack of color in the new ones just helps blur the whole client out and make it unclear and hard to use.

You just have to get used to the new client. Getting rid of the old client is a big change, and of course it will take a lot of time to get used to the new one, and it's expected that people will think it's less organized and stuff is harder to find. But give it some time. I've used the new client for long enough to get used to it, and I have to say that it's an improvement in almost every way.

Give it some time, turn on "low-spec mode" if you're having any performance issues, and wait for them to start adding a butt ton of features to it now that the old client is gone!

If that's what you really want, just change them. I've been using the new client ever since it came out and I thoroughly enjoy it, yes, it has it's quirks. But so did the old one. Also, a lot of the sounds are pretty much the same. So I don't really know what you mean.

I don't really see what makes the new client a "blur" or hard to use. What part makes you feel that way?

That's considering altering the files and is against the TOS, and can get you banned.

If you would actually read what the rioters have said, changing soundpacks, visuals, aren't bannable.

YEs yes, they are, it's the reason you aren't allowed to use certain custom skins/ map skins. It can be used to gain an advantage in gameplay, and is unfair.

It doesn't depend on the skin. Any custom skin.

Also, you can change in-game sounds, that's what the voice pack is. And I'm sure the Client Sounds would fall under the same thing. But yeah, @OP if you want to change it, you essentially can.

Umm no, if a custom skin or sound effect give you an ingame advantage it is illegal, that is from a Rioter, you literally CANNOT dispute that.

IF say, the animation now perfectly fits a deceptive hit box, or a sound effect was a countdown of the ability, there are plenty of ways to abuse it.

You do know that custom skins don't change for other people. The hitbox stays the same. For the sound pack that wouldn't be possible due to cooldown reduction. There really isn't many ways to abuse it.

You are extremely obstinate, and cheaters always find new ways to abuse the system, of course they don't change for others, of course it doesn't change hitbox coding, but some spells like Lux Ult, Or Zac jump, have deceptively small indicators to lull u into a false sense of security, then u get hit, if someone changes the image, that gets taken away. and for CD, it wouldnt be hard for it to have multiple sounds counting down for each bit of cdr, for instance, they could have a sound file that says; Lux ult, if at 10% cd is up now, 5%, 15% it wouldn't be hard to do.

I don't see how changing any of the skins would benefit you above anyone else as it's purely cosmetic.

Also, for the sounds, you would have to do it for every rank, and you can't know what level their abilities are without cheating, so your point is still useless. Yes, you could work out a way to make it work most of the time, but that would be so much of a hassle it's not really worth it. I'm not obstinate I just love debates. 3/3

No offence, but you're gonna get taken advantage of one of these days, just because you can't see potential uses doesn't mean there aren't any, that pretty naive thinking. And obstinate people usually do.

You do realize, all of the possible options still aren't as good as actually using scripts, so there's nothing to be taken advantage for.

Maybe you're the one who is blind :^)

And not everyone knows how to script, but lots of people can use the internet, a timer, and a sound recorder.

It is easier to get scripts than anything else. Literally, you download the injector, pick what you want, and load a game.

And how did I respond to myself? I normally keep the voices in check :^)

We reached the end of the convos box lol, and scripts are easier to detect so it'd still be better to use custom skins.

Well, if someone was able to go through the trouble of somehow making it work, dealing with the overlapping sounds, as well as the mass amount of information, it's really not worth it when all you have to do write down cooldown times for whatever champions are in the game. Changing the sound files to have the cooldown timers is a decent idea in theory, but actually putting it into practice is simply impractical when you can do other things much easier.

I really miss the original "match found" sound though. As for blur, the new client doesn't really have clear borders to separate stuff like the old one with its shiny gold borders. This is very prominent in the otherwise great new champ select.

I'll give you that one, it does bring back memories. And as for champ select I also miss the ability to use | to have a custom pool of champions.
